Just as an FYI on Mac the folders for each filetype are named starting with . so the files are hidden by the filesystem by default resulting in finder telling you you have a folder with 600+mb and no contents. CMD+SHIFT+. for anyone looking to toggle hidden files on on Mac :)
WOW, I had no idea mac hid folders like that! Thank you so much for for pointing it out, I'll fix it and upload a corrected .zip right away! Did you run into any other issues with the files on mac, or was it just the folders?

Nope, no other problems! Files all work as expected. Only the folders have a bit of wonkiness.
